After my husband had been dead for two years, I met a wonderful gentleman. He ran a little restaurant and he loved to eat. My girlfriends and I went to his establishment to eat and just hang out. I became interested in him. When I began checking him out I found that every other widow in the county wanted him. I had to think fast. I moved in for the kill. I started making fudge, peanut butter delights, monkey bread, cinnamon and raisin bread and lots of from scratch chocolate pies. He loved the goodies and was impressed that I could make such delightful things. He began to show me lots of attention. I had him hooked. Now I had to reel him in. I invited him to have dinner at my house one night. He gladly accepted. I had taken care to see that my house was spotless and that my food was delicious The way I looked didn't hurt matters . We had steak, baked potatoes, salad, homemade yeast rolls and banana pudding. That was when I found out he was a puddin-loving type of guy. Everything went extremely well. He complimented me constantly. He thought everything was A-okay. I must have done something right because we are still together and it has been seventeen years. Neither of us wanted to get married so we remained special friends. He chased me until I caught him.

I love the comments you have written about my story. We are both getting older and are not physically able to go places and do things. In fact, I am nearly homebound and cannot walk. He gets around some and I thank God for that. We continue to see each other and keep in close contact. He calls me 2 or 3 times a day and comes to visit when he can. He spent this morning with me. We had such a nice visit. Not much goes on but we have wonderful memories to reminice about. Our time together has been wonderful.
