We had come home from a high school football game and discovered that Timmy and Teddy our dogs had eaten the roast beef that had been thrawing. It was a hugh roast and you could definitely tell which one had eaten the most. Timmy's stomach was ready to burst. Took him several days to feel better.

My dog Zack did something similar. I was preparing steaks for a friend as a thank you for helping me with some tree trimming and other yard work. I prefer my steak medium rare so I pulled mine out and left my friends steak in the oven since he preferred "well done". I left my steak on a plate on the kitchen counter. While I do not have kids my dog is much like a kid, a four legged furry one!. So I knew something was up when I could not hear him moving about. I got up to investigate and met my dog in the doorway with MY STEAK IN HIS MOUTH!!!! He knew he was busted and the gig was up.... I said not a word and he laid the steak at my feet as if to say "mom,... wanna share my steak with me?" That was the last steak he stole.... I now don't leave plates near the edge of the counter. plus he has matured... as much as a male can!

So I don't have the only ill-mannered dog when it comes to food on the counte!
