The kitchen was full of wonderful smells as we prepared our Christmas dinner. I decided my 4 year old niece should be part of the festivities. We pulled a chair over to the counter and began making chocolate pudding. She was having a great time "cooking". When we were all done and the pudding was in the bowls I told her it was okay to lick the spoon. There she stood on the chair with her apron on, licking a wooden spoon full of chocolate pudding. That in itself was a Kodak moment. Until our Golden Retriever Teddy decided he needed to get in on the action. He went over to my niece and with his best, "They don't feed me" eyes, he sat down to beg. My niece couldn't resist and decided to share her spoon with him. That too was pretty cute, until the dog decided to eat the spoon. It was wooden and just snapped right in half. It is one of my favorite Christmas memories.
