Things have been hard the last six months. My landlord has been patient with my late rent payments. At Christmas I gave her grandchildren some chocolate shortbread cookies. The two year old carried the Christmas decorated baggie around for 3 days.A month later my landlord came by and I had a tin filled with 2 more bags of the chocolate cookies waiting in the laundry room for her.She told me later when the kids got the cookies, they fought over them and wouldnt share. They hid the bags under their pillows! My landlord now makes jokes about my making cookies and has a happy memory of her own.And I have managed to butter her up with my baking!

What a great story! For you to think of her grandchildren was so sweet of you. I love the way to a lot of grandparents hearts is for someone to be kind to their grandchildren. That was very nice of you to do that.
