We always seem to have a lot of people around our house. From the very young to the very old and all in between. When it is summertime our house is invaded by grand kids and great grandkids. We live in the country and have a pool so they all come here to hang out with all their cousins and enjoy their time out of school. Sometimes it can be very hectic and we wonder why in the world don't we just learn how to say NO ? But then we think about it and are glad they like to come see us. We plan on barbecues and fun things to do while they are here. Of course they know they have to go to church with us and for the most part they like to do that too. We have a pond and they go fishing and we even had a fish called "Big Blue" Some say he is still in the pond, while others brag that he was caught last summer. I don't really know. The boys like to go hunting and then come back and put their catch on the pit to cook. We try to have a lot of snacks on hand and they all love to bake with us. We are planning on making peanut butter cookies using the chips from Nestles in our recipe, I can already tast them, hmm so good. I purchased some Nestle strawberry drink mix, 2 bags of Nestle peanut butter chips and 2 bags of the Nestles chocolate chips, a bag of marshmallows and graham crackers just to mention a few items. We had planned to make a campfire outside to roast marshmallows and for them to make smores. This morning when LeeAnn and David got a brisket out for the pit I ask them to check to see if we had all we needed for the cook out.
Mom I don't see the chips, I don't see the marshmallows or the graham crackers and mom the gallon of milk I just bought at 5:00 yesterday is gone too. She was getting frantic. Just wait LeeAnn, do you remember when your friends and cousins came over when you were younger(she is married to David and they have 2 boys togetherKelly 7yrs. and Adrik 3 yrs.)? She smiled and said okay mom we are going to town and I will get what we need, smiling as they left out the door. We had 5 teenagers in the house last night and three of them are boys with big appetities. I know they watched the television till late and of course playing the video games so I am sure they raided the icebox after we went to bed. Also our grandson John (we raised him straight from the hospital) comes over after "hog hunting" to see whats in the ice box too. Along time ago we threatened to put a pad lock on the icebox when all our kids were at home and had friends over, but then we said no we will just have to pray hard for Jesus to multiply the food just like he did the fish and the loaves, we always have enough even when they raid the icebox. But the funny thing is when you ask no one knows what has happened to it. I think they might need to review the ten commandments... Thanks for reading and have a nice day, Donna

If you look at the picture of Elijah you will see the bag of Nestles, you know I decided to just eat one by itself and it was really good(butterscotch) maybe I'll just try a handful with my morning coffee.

We also live and had lived all of our lives in the country. These are things that children do to have fun. When I would ask who the culprit was they would all point at each other. It brings back memories. Enid Baggett Godwin,NC 04/04/2010
