Give us a chuckle
Due to the 4th of July Holiday weekend, we held our Sunday Potluck dinner after Church yesterday. I always try to think of something "different" to take, so that we don't end up with all potatoes, all

Due to the 4th of July Holiday weekend, we held our Sunday Potluck dinner after Church yesterday. I always try to think of something "different" to take, so that we don't end up with all potatoes, all beans, etc.....so I thought that the "Macaroni & Cheese for a Crowd" from this WebSite would be just great to do! Apparently EVERYONE else thought so too, because there were 5 dishes of Macaroni & Cheese!

Hi, We have had that problem too. My husband had been a Pastor for over 35 years (retired now because he has Alzheimers) and we finally got the ideal to discuss what each Sister would bring to the church socials. We learened each had a favorite they liked to make and it really worked out well. On certain meals we would make a menue chart and ask them to write their name beside what they could bring to the social, for those that did not like to cook they would bring the paper plates and some would bring cups and plastic ware. took a lot of the guessing out of it for us. Great story as it brought back a lot of memories to my mind. Have a good day, Donna

Yesterday was the annual picnic for a woodworker group my husband belong to. It is potluck and about two or three weeks beforehand, a list is sent and people bring a portion of the menu accordin to their last initial. A- D potatoes , E-K vegeies, L-P salads, Q- desserts . Each year it shifts so you don't bring the same part of the menu every time. The club furnishes the fried chicken and drinks. Works well.
