In high school French class, we organized a dinner where everyone had to make something "French" to share. I found a pastry recipe that seemed easy with the filling containing Carnation sweetened condensed milk, lemon juice, and almond extract. The toppings can be any fruit pie filling, whipped cream, or whatever you want. For the crusts, it said you could "cheat" by using any ready to bake biscuit dough. What wasn't stated was that if you use the biscuits, you will burn your fingers forming the cups properly. Once the biscuits cool off, they won't form the dessert cups right. They are easy and taste great but you have to be willing to burn your thumbs and fingers. Everytime I make them I think back to the fun that was had in that class.

I can't say I would be willing to burn myself to make a pastry.  After the first time, I would have to do something different.
