So I was in charge to make Thanksgiving dinner. I was only 18 at the time so I really didn't know what to do exactly. I was just trying to remember seeing family memebers doing it. I started makeing the turkey, man I didnt know what i was supposed to pull out or what i was supposed to keep in. So I just kept everything in and then put the stuffing in. While that was cooking I started to make the potatoes and deviled eggs and corn and yams and it was just a big mess. And may I remind you I didnt have any help at all. Maybe a couple times when my 11 year old cousin would come in but that was it. Finally the turkey was done, I had to stick a pumpkin pie that was already made and an apple pie that was already made. Well I guess I didnt read the back of the box right because there is this bottom piece that the pie sits on that i was supposed to stick in with the pie and I didnt do that. So when the pies were cooking both the pumpkin and the apple fell through the bottom and the oven started to have that burnt smell. So I we didnt get to have dessert. Back to the turkey, when everyone came over and it came time to cut the turkey my uncle asked me why i left the gizzards and that little plastic thing wrapped with all the goodies in it. I told him I didnt know if I was to take that out or not. Besides the stuff being left in there it turned out to be a good turkey and we had a fun Thanksgiving.
