My mom was out shopping and my oldest sister and father would not help me make chocolate mouse, so I got out the recipe book for kids and followed what the pictures said, not knowing anything about measurements. I used about a dozen eggs, 1 cup cocoa, and a lot of other ingredients that ended up looking like a loaf pan full of mud. I put it in the refrigerator hoping it would "set up". My mom came home to my masterpiece and came up with a plan that I should only be in the kitchen when it was breakfast, lunch, or dinner! It didn't discourage me because I have been baking ever since!
