My mom left me a small cake mix and asked if I would make this for her. I had watched her do this and felt like such a big girl, so I was sure I could do this(or so I thought). So I prepared and made the cake according to the directions but, I had forgotten which pan she had told me to use. So I figured I would use the pan which took all the cake mix, filled it right to the top. Well you know what happened. I was mortified. My mom happened to come in just as the cake went bubbling over the sides of the pan. Mom managed to salvage some of the cake mix. Believe it or not the cake which was left came out pretty good. Not to bad for my first cake.

Mom's are the best! I recall my first easy bake oven. Boy did we eat a lot not so moist cakes. But they were all so good! 45 yrs. later, I'm still baking! I can actually say, there taste a lot better then the easy baked oven. Very fond memories for me.
