I was only 13 and trying to turn myself into a great baker like my mother. I learned a reciepe in home-economics class. How to make microwave brownies? I thought, how great is this. It is easy. Not many dishes to wash. I was in love. %0d%0aI followed the reciepe to the letter at school and they turned out good but at home not so well. My brothers and sisters used them to bounce them off the wall and catch them. They were so hard you couldn't even bite them. I still am not sure what I did wrong but to this day my older brother likes to bring that up once in awhile. He gets a good laugh out of it.%0d%0aToday I bake brownies and they are wonderful. I can't keep them longer than 24 hours. I guess failures do make you a better baker in the long run.

You're right about your failures. You want to know what you did wrong and try to fix it. So, the more you try, the better your creations turn out. And as for your brother, I bet he's first in line for your brownines now! LOL
