My younger sister has an issue with baked goods. About 2 years ago she decided to go all out and make banana bread..from a box! It was a huge step. She didn't think it mattered if she didn't do all the steps correctly.. or the cooking time for that matter. So she pours the bread into the pan, throws it in the oven uneven, and turns it up to 500 degrees to "quicken" the cooking time. well, the timer goes off and out comes the bread. It was horrible looking. It was crispy brown on the outside and took FOREVER to get the knife through to the middle! If that wasn't bad enough, the inside was completely goo. Let's just say we haven't eaten much of her baked good since.

LOL!   If ever there was a good reason for following directions, this covered most of them!

Well, you have quite a memory - following directions is important.  We all need to learn this as soon as possible in life.

Hopefully she learned that you must follow directions for everything in life, not only for baking and cooking.

In your story lies a great lesson Amanda.   Nothing done well can be hurried.   I know, I've tried!  LOL
