I really am a cookie girl. I love all cookies, but my favorite are peanut butter with a chocolate kiss. Simple but great!

I love chocolate chip cookies - especially fresh out of the oven. Alas, I eat too many to have them very often. But it SNOWED last night. That makes this a special occasion, right?

Cookies are great either plain or embelished. For Chhristmas I made a plain butter/sugar cookie that melted in your mouth and a pecan encrusted graham cookie that was also very good.

I make piles and piles and piles of cookies every week .... non-stop. And I hope every one is delicious!!d
My favorite is that White Chip Island Cookie found right here.
And I love the regular choc chip recipe with NO chips .... just piles and piles of coconut and pecans.

I have a great recipe from "Cook's Magazine" It is oatmeal with chocolate chunks, pecans and either dried cherries or dried cranberries. Really good!! And Healthy too???

Dawn -- here's my Snickerdoodles recipe ...... ;-) I think it's perfect

SNICKERDOODLES
Bake 8 to 10 minutes @ 400 degrees - ungreased sheets - 5 dozen

1 cup shortening (I use 1/2 butter and 1/2 plain Crisco)
1 1/2 cups sugar
2 eggs
2 3/4 cups flour
2 tsp cream of tartar
1 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt

Mix every and roll dough into small balls.
Roll balls in mixture of CINNAMON AND SUGAR.
