MICROWAVE: I pull back the leaves , remove some of the silk rinse under running water, pull the leaves back over the corn and pop in the microwave for 4 minutes per ear. When they come out I take a pot holder and peel the leaves off and the rest of the silk comes off with the leaves. I beak the end off the side that was attached to the stalk. Quick Cooker LOL

Cook mine the same way you do, boil them in water with a bit of sugar. Serve them piping hot with salt and pepper. Dripping in butter too. Oh so good now wish I had some. But have done them on the grill on the coils wrapped in foil. Good that way too.

I used to boil it but it takes forever to get the water boiled, so now I just use about an inch or two of water and steam the corn. Use lots of butter and salt. I like pepper too.

I use the microwave. One way we like to have it is with olive oil and fresh garlic heated on the stove then brushed on the corn.

A great hint on the butter -- I take a clean coffee can (3 lb) and fill it with hot tap water. Add a stick of butter to the water. Then when the corn is ready -- pull back the husks and dip in the butter/water. So easy and no mess. (I do place the can on a towel to catch drips though).

I use a microwavable plate, put down a microwavable paper towel, take off leaves & silk, put two ears of corn on top of the paper towel, put another paper towel on top of the corn and microwave on high 3 to 4 minutes depending upon how well done you like your corn.
Then we use butter/margarine and salt and enjoy!!!

I use two ways, the first being the same way you do in water with a little sugar. Now Ziploc has put out Zip and Steam bags that are great. Done in 3-4 minutes and tastes fresh.

Was it sugar you weren't supposed to add to the water because it'll make the corn tough?

We pull back the husk, but not tear it off, take off the silk and wash the ear of corn. Then we put the husk back around the corn and wrap in foil, then put it on the grill. Heavy butter, light salt to finish, YUM ! I LOVE black pepper, so I put some of that on too, it's an individual preference.

If cooking in the microwave, that's is when you are not grilling, then do the same and microwave 1minute and check and if not done, turn it over and do another 30 secs to 1 minute on high. When done, then take off the husk (watch out, it's very hot !!) and then butter, light salt. Pepper is good if you like it, too. If you are doing more than one ear at a time in the microwave, it will take longer. I do one at a time so it's all hot for each person. The butter melts better, too.

I remove the husks, take a damp paper towel to get rid of all the silk, put corn in a large pot and as soon as it comes to a full boil I turn it off and serve.

One of 2 ways depending on the weather (if it's too hot we do it the grill way). Husk it put it in a big pot (we call it our corn pot) with a couple of inches of boiling water (not enough to cover the corn you are basically steaming it) with a pinch of sugar, let the water boiling for 6 minutes, remove the corn and eat with melted butter, salt & pepper. OR pull back the husk but don't remove. Clean of the silk then pull up the husk to cover the corn (my son doesn't remove the silk but I find it messy to remove the silk after the corn has been grilled). Soak the corn in cool water for 20 minutes. Drain then lay corn on medheated gril turning once or twice for about 20 mins. Remove husks, serve with melted butter, salt & Pepper. Either way is delicious!

All the ways listed are fine. You may de-husk, salt, butter then wrap in foil and place on the cooler section of the grill. Butter again when you open after about 20 minutes. Delish for a change...
