I was looking forward to some sweet chamomile tea after a long day at school and an ongoing argument with my dad the night before. I was distracted for a moment by a TV show I hadn't seen in a looonnng time right after I set a small pot of water on the stove burner. By the time I remembered that I had the stove running I came to the stove to find burnt water making smoke from the bottom of the pot.

What a disappointment... -_-

I laugh about it now, though. It was a nice little learning experience that I will never forget.

This is too cute! Last week I asked my husband to turn off some eggs that were boiling. I returned an hour later to a new smell! He had let the eggs boil dry. You & I were both lucky that we didn't have a fire! Truthfully, I have done this same thing myself! Take care!

I've done this many times - especially when I'm on the computer - and now set a timer whenever I'm heating water!

It is dangerous to leave the kitchen when the stove is on.

I've had that experience once or twice and it can be really frustrating when it does happen.
