My 7 year old daughter decided to enter cookies in our local fair one year. Being like her mother, she wanted a challenge, and tried a brand new recipe. She made snickerdoodle cookies for the first time. The family loved them, and found it difficult to leave 6 to enter into the fair. We were all thrilled when we saw her 2nd place ribbon, but a little dissappointed that we couldn't eat them since they had been on display for 2 weeks.

Congratulations to your daughter on her 2nd place ribbon! That's great! I know how you feel seeing those delicious cookies go to waste and not being able to eat them. We just finished a booth at a Fair and enjoyed seeing all the great baked items....cookies, beautifully decorated cakes, and more. Sad that by the time the Fair ends they are no good to eat.
