WHEN I WAS A VERY SMALL CHILD I CAN REMEMBER GOING INTO THE KITCHEN WITH MY GRANDMOTHER AND MAKINIG POTATO CANDY. WE WOULD PEEL AND COOK POTATOES AND THEN MASH THEM AND ADD 10X SUGAR SPREAD WITH PEANU

I believe my grand mother made candy from a very similar recipe.

Potato candy is great and easy, cheap, and fun to make. It is very sweet, so I usually make it last, which is nice. This thread made me smile...been awhile since I had some of that stuff....

My grandmother made a similar candy roll.  She spread peanut butter on a layer of sweetened mashed patatoes rolled it up like a jelly roll and cut it into slices.
