Tell what you’ve passed down
I have a collection of many recipe books but my favorite I found at a garage sale that my aunt had published.  She is no longer with us here but I feel that she was smiling down from heaven when

Hi Susan P. So sorry to hear about your Dad,My Mom passed away in 1996 and I too have hand written recipes of hers. Those are the special ones that do bring back nice memories. My Mom didn't follow too many recipes for cooking, thank goodness I was paying attention I also cook like that and now I am trying to write things down for my kids.Almost all her baking she had recipes for, that makes it a little easier.Try and enjoy the holidays and celebrate with your mom's recipes.God bless you and have a nice holiday season.

I have my mother's old cookbooks, including her binder with clippings and handwritten recipes - I had to get a new binder and those plastic pages so that I could save all of those pages.

I have my mother's old cookbooks - the original Betty Crocker and her old Good Housekeeping or Better Homes & Gardens (I can't remember which right now, but it's the one with the red checkerboard cover).  There haven't been as many changes to that Betty Crocker edition, though there have been other new cookbooks put out.  And, you can still find that old edition.  But, the other one keeps changing.  You can't find the same recipes in the newer editions like you can with Betty Crocker.

Would love to have my Mom's recipes written down, but she did everything from memory. I finally mastered her pie crust but still struggle with gravy.

Does anyone like the cookbooks you get that come from a group at church or a other club you belong to.

Yes, I have several of them.  In fact, one of them was published by our Church Altar Rosary Society.  I have many recipes in there.  When we published the book, I bought extra copies for my sons and for my sister in law.  Use that book a lot.  Use the other ones too.
