When I was very little the first thing my mother ever let me cook was banana bread. My dad did most of the cooking in my house but the one thing my mom knew how to make was banana bread. Breaking up and smooshing the bananas was my favorite part. This was also when I learned that vanilla extract...not so good by itself. haha good times!

Banana bread is one of may favorite things to make and I taught my grand-daughter how to bake that about the same age as you learned.

great memory. Banana bread is a favorite in our house. All 4 of my children love it (even the ones who don't like bananas). they all enjoy making it too.
