My children love to help out whenever they can so it's only natural to find them at my feet when I'm in the kitchen. The simplest tasks make them happy. I've started cracking my eggs into a bowl and letting them pour them into whatever I'm making. They love to get things out of the refrigerator too so I make it a counting game. I'm hoping my sons will grow up with a love of cooking! I love the special times in the kitchen. Having them help me bake reminds me that it doesn't matter what it looks like on the outside, but how it tastes in your mouth that is most important.

You sound like an excellent teacher.  I am sure your kids will have fond memories of spending time with you in the kitchen.

The best place to start training children is in the kitchen.

Just finished making Easy Pumpkin Pie,with 8 year granddaughter,She's been in the kitchen, with me,since she's been
big enough to stand up. This time we had to let little brother age 4,help. We had alot of fun,
They both love the pie, can't wait to eat it. Grandpa has to get cool whip for.
