I'm a stay at home mom.  I do volunteer at the school in the art room.  Before I "retired", I was a computer programmer for a bank.

Oh boy I wish I could still work and play. Broke my back at work in 2004 and the doctors were right. I will never be able to work again. I had a 2nd degree green belt in karate, loved to hunt, fish, take walks, cook and bake, go to the casinos at Biloxi, Mississippi  but no longer. It takes me two days to prep and cook my chinese pepper steak(favorite dish) and it hurts so much I can't enjoy it anymore. So much for me I was a heating and air Service tech with computer science as a minor but growing in business.
Wish I could go back to work tomorrow.

I'm retired.  Right now I'm the volunteer janitor at my church ... I clean and do the minor - very minot - repair work.
And I'm trying to get back into wood carving - a fun want to earn money.
These are some of the carvings I've done in the past.

I'm a retired Church Secretary.  Loved the job most of the time; but love retirement even more.  I often ask myself how I ever found time to work.  Now days, it seems I never can get everything done....everything just rolls over into the next day.  But, I wouldn't have it any other way!

YOU ARE SO RIGHT. PARENTHOOD IS A 24/ 7 JOB...YOU DO HAVE MANY REWARDS. SO ALL THE LONG SLEEPLESS NIGHTS ARE WORTH IT. IN A BLINK OF AN EYE THEY ARE GONE, GROWN...STARTING THEIR OWN LIFE...

I am a part time stay at home mom, bartender, and baker.
I say this because my sons don't need me to be watching over them any more. They are grown men. The oldest has moved out and is living his life and the younger one still lives at home working on a double masters degree.
I work at the local stadium as a bartender or concession worker during baseball season, and at the convention center in their bakery dept. or in their pantry dept. I only work there when there is a major event of over 3550 people a day and if it last for more than 3 days. then I will be called in.
So I basically work part time and I stay at home part time.

I add my Prayers for John and my Congratulations to Nancy G.  I did several things in my life.  Owned my own bakery until the back surgeries brought that to an end.  I was a spokesperson for TOPS and KOPS.  When my husband retired I worked in the office at Our local Humane Society.  From there Health problems pushed me into a recliner but I still stay very active in City, State and community happenings.  I do volunteer at Church, but most of all I love meeting friends from all over the world thanks to VBB.

I practiced Dentistry for 25 years.  I "retired" when we moved out of NY state. I owned and operated a home based bakery and website for 7 years. I now am an appointed official for NC in the office of Notary Public (whoo-hoo!), a certified EKG Technician, a Stephen Minister for our church, the Birth Registrar for our county, a Chart Control Analyst for our hospital, and as a military spouse I am active in the USO and Operation Christmas Cards for Soldiers.
