My Grandma was Magic....she always had homemade cookies at her home. She was a farmwife...so the guys always came in for coffee. I will always remember her special cookies.

Grandma's are special, each providing their own "goodies" and love. I just hope my grandchildren have as wonderful memories as I have of my grandmas.

Diana, I, too, had a grandma that always had homemade cookies in her cookie jar.  She made raisin-filled cookies, as well as molasses cookies.  Wow, that was 60 years ago!

My Grand Mother was always making Bread or homemade jams.  Just walking into her house was a real treat.  My brothers and sisters would walk home from school and Grand Ma's house was on the way home so we always stopped in to say Hi and she would always set us down and go to her stocked pantry and bring out a jar of her jam and some cookies followed up with a tall glass of ice cold milk.  I guess that would have been considered our after school snack.  To me it was always a special treat and wish My Grand children could do the same but they leve over an hour away.   That would be too much of a walk...LOL

I didn't have my Grandmother for very many years.  But she was the sweetest lady I ever met.

I learned to cook from my grandmother.  She was a special lady.  From her I learned how to make home made macaroni, ravioli, and many many other things.  We also did a lot of canning.
