Fran - I bet we get a "good" answer soon .... at least, I hope so!
I just assumed that these centers would turn liquid in a day or so.
I'm sure glad you asked.

To Fran and Nancy: Yes, in my recipe, even though you drain the cherries, there's still juice left in them. Beware of the juice squirt when you bite into the completed cherry!!

Good morning, Nancy! I just go to Google Images and search by content. Once you find what you want, just save it in your computer Picture file and then you can upload to this site.

P.S. You definitely fit the profile of a cat person!!! lol

Seeing how much baking and cooking you do, I'm sure your home is clean and neat. So no, I didn't picture hairballs!!!

Hi again Verlee.... you can ignore me if I get just too far off the subject......
Isn't it funny that I'm the janitor - and painter - of my dear little church.  I work very hard.
I even do window washing and minor repairs.
So when I return home I don't feel like doing a thing.   This place is NOT clean.... it's not even neat.
Thank goodness I have a self-clean oven!!!  lol lol lol

Parafin!!  Well rats ..... I was certain I had everything to make these.  Start them today and finish tomorrow.
I don't have any parafin and I can't get to WalMart today.
That's something I know I can't borrow from my neighbors .... super, kind, cheerful people who don't cook much.

The paraffin is necessary for the chocolate to form nicely around the cherries. Most chocolate candy is made with paraffin. Laughing And don't be stingy with the paraffin. Also, put the paraffin in the bottom of the pan and add the chocolate squares on top of it - melts more consistently this way.

Thanks Verlee -- and I just talked to my neighbor who was returning from a trip out of this street.  He said all the roads and streets were OK - not slick.  So I can head out ot WalMart ....... well, as soon as the cat asleep on my lap wakes up and gets off.
