I remember as a little girl in the 60's having so much fun spending the night at Grandma's on the weekends. She was always baking something, and always let me help her. She was most famous for her "made from scratch" 3-layer cakes. To this day I love making cakes, sometimes from scratch, but if I use a box mix, I am always looking for ways to add to the box mix to make it yummier.
