My youngest son is a very good cook.  As I've probably mentioned somewhere previously, since I had knee problems the last couple of years and my husband has MS, whenever he would visit us, he would go grocery shopping and make various foods for us to put in the freezer, especially his delicious chili.  He also always asks for a list from me for Trader Joe's and gets whatever we want from there.  The last two years he made the cookies and when he was told how delicious they were, he said:  I learned from the best!  Made me feel so good.(BTW he lives four hours away.)

My older son lives about an hour away.  He cooks, but not as extensively as his brother.  He is a good cleaner upper though with all the dishes, etc.  He also comes during the summer and does the lawn and comes in the winter and shovels all the snow.  Won't let us hire anyone.  Since I'm still recouping from my knee surgeries he periodically goes grocery shopping for me.  In fact this past Friday he went shopping with a long list in a store he is not familiar with.  His father told him he made good time.  He said he had a good list.

For the holidays both sons did the cooking and cleaning up. We also had my brothers over and my sons took food to their aunt who is paraplegic and her aide and to the older woman who live upstairs from them.

I think they are very special!!!

That's my brag.

You have been so blessed! It was the example of both you and your husband that helped to make these two men such wonderful individuals.

My three children, who are adults make me proud also. My daughter, who is the oldest, a mother, with three girls. She is a wonderful cook and has never given me and difficulty. She and I had a wonderful relationship even through her teenage years. My sons, both individuals and totally different in looks and temperment make me feel proud every day. They too, are cooks, know how to take care of a home, and call me often. Unfortunately, their father died when they were in their late teens and didn't have him around for male input, but they respect and love my husband, John, whom I married several years ago.

Angela:  Sorry to hear of the loss of your first husband.  However, you have done a wonderful job with your children and you should be proud!  Glad you found someone and that your children respect and love him.  God bless.
