My girlfriends meet once a month at my house for "crafts day". I made some buttermilk cornbread for our snack, but turned off the oven and left the cornbread in it. I was suppose to leave it in for about 5 minutes or so, but forgot about them until I smelt something burning. Well, it was dry and burnt! My girlfriends still ate them, took seconds, complemented me and even took some home for their family!

Must not have been too bad if they ate your cornbread and took some home too.

Where do I sign up?  LOL  what a nice idea to be with friends at least once a month.  I used to do the same with our genealogy group.  We lost several members who passed and now the remainder of us search records individually.

I know of a girl starting Chemo for stage 2 cancer so I invited her to lunch so she knows she has a shoulder to cry on, or a friend she can fuss with because of this terrible disease.  I told her I will hold her hand and help her in any way I can.  I know of a group that makes prayers shawls and one that will donate a day a month to clean her house.  I love making friends all over.

Wonderful friends, keepers for sure. Wonderful Elsa, my son had stage 4 throat cancer has had chemo and radiation. Just had a cat scan and no cancer in lungs, liver and kidneys. Goes in for pre op on Tues and surgery on Nov 30 to check his throat see how things are inside. You all have kind hearts here.

You really have great friends - mine might have eaten them after I carefully sliced away all of the edges and buttered what was left thoroughly before slicing.

I have a small group of great friends ...... they carefully taste each new cookie recipe I try and play Critic.    It's fun.

God has blessed me with a number of good friends - we laugh together, have lunch together, remember each others birthdays and can sit and talk/listen for hours.  At thanksgiving it is just another thing to be thankful for!

I will add Sharon T and son to my prayer list.  I Believe in the power of prayer.  I have had 14 surgeries and was told I would never walk again.  Well the power of prayer has me walking 3 miles a day now......
