Surprised Talk about a blooper! I dont claim to be a baker, but I do usually make everything from scratch. My boyfriend came home with a 20 pound box of Toll House cookie bites! I could not find a recipe online, there was nothing on or in the box, so..... The kids wanted to make some. Come to find out I guess they only taste good right out of the box or in icecream. Since we proceeded to put the dots on a cookie sheet, some we put in a row, some we piled up, and some we thawed in our hands and squished a bunch together (I should mention they are about the size of a dime). Well , we baked them at regular temp and they proceeded to melt and flatten, never browned, they stuck to the cookie sheet so hard that we had to soak the sheet in water to get the rest of them off the pan! Although the kids had a BLAST and enjoyed trying to pry the hard stuck on "cookies" off the pan! They even ate some! (I gave mine to the dog! ) I am horrified to think of them telling anyone the story of baking with Gaily! YIKES  lol
so, moral of the story ~ do not do that!

Hi Gail Laughing Sounds like you all had fun even without success ... that's great.
I've never seen a Toll House Cookie Bite so I have no idea what they are.... it's something I want to try - but not 20 lb of it!!

I've never heard of Toll House Cookie Bites,  although they do sound interesting.  Maybe VBB could enlighten us on them?

And my WalMart currently has big, end-of-aisle displays of new Nestles drinks I had never seen or heard of before.

oops - meant to add:
But my WalMart still doesn't have the mint morsels.  I know, I know they aren't due here until after Thanksgiving.
But they are in the local high-priced store.

It sounds like the person who gave you those dots didn't know what to do with either.

It is a shame there were not recipe ideas or serving tips on the package.  Maybe they thought if you bought such a big container you already knew how to use them!  LOL
