In Response to This forum is called Brags and Bloopers, and it's bragging time for me!:
My youngest son, who's in the Navy and is on his way home from his second deployment, recently received confirmation that he's been accepted to Top Gun School. And yes, it's just about the same as in the movie! He's very excited, and I'm very proud. He's worked hard toward this goal and it's nice to be recognized and rewarded. ALSO, they had a farewell dinner last night for the 7 officers who are leaving the squadron. As part of the entertainment they listed 10 things for each person that the squadron would miss about them once they were gone. My son said the #1 thing mentioned was all the baked goodies that I made and sent to his squadron during their deployments. I laughed until I cried when I heard that. Just want to share with my fellow bakers and thank you for some of the recipes I used in my care packages!!!
