My daughter graduated from High School this past Wednesday, and we were expecting several members of my family to come up and attend. I did a lot of baking several days ahead of time for us all to eat and celebrate. Things were so hectic for me baking and cleaning- I wrapped my quick breads and put them in the freezer along with my cookies. Well, some of the family got here just in time to head down to the school for the ceremony, which was real nice. Afterwards, we all went out to dinner to celebrate, and then came back to our house. Needless to say, the bread and cookies were forgotten about and stayed in the freezer until several hours after they had all left. I felt so bad about forgetting- I wanted to send some home with all of them. It was just a busy few days, glad it is over-- my daughter is still celebrating... Congratulations Laura...

Well, the important thing is you enjoyed your com[any and made new memories. Just think you have the bread and cookies ready for unexpested guests or can invited some neighbors or girlfriends over and already have some treats ready and just have to brew some tea or coffee!

Sorry that happened to you :( I have done similar things, so many times! The last time it happened was for Mother's Day brunch. We were still sitting at the table, finished with the meal, when I remembered an item! Makes me kind of mad at myself, but it just shows that we are human! I make lists, but I still forget! Guess it is just the stress and busy-ness of it all!

You shared a memorable moment with family and thats all that counts. Wait until she goes to college and send some of those goodies with her.

I like the comment about sending the cookies to college with your daughter; it will remind her of the wonderfull time her graduation was and all the love you put into it for her!
