My Mom was preparing for a little dinner party and was falling behind. So, she gave me the easy task of making some small spice cake while she prepared the other desserts. It was a box mix and all I had to do was put in eggs, water and 1 T. vinegar. I think it was a spice cake... I accidentally switched the measurements, putting in 1 T. of water and 1 cup of vinegar. We even thought we smelt the vingear as it was baking. The adults were drinking coffee and I proudly handed out slices of my cake. The looks on their faces when they took a bite was unforgetable! I was so embarrassed! I've since learned to check and double check measurements and ingredients.
