I made Pumpkin muffins to bring to my mother in law after she had back surgery. The top of the muffins was to be a cinnamon topping. Instead of putting the cinnamon on the top, I grabbed nutmeg and added that instead. My husband tasted the muffins and said the muffins were good , but the top was a bit hot!

I can remember back to when I was 8 learning how to make a sponge cake for a 4-H project and put in regular flour than cake flour. It was the flatest cake in the world! The birds loved it! Even though I made the mistake I had started recyling without knowing it. The cake at least appreciated by the birds. My mother and I still laugh about this when we see large flocks of birds that are circling to dine on someone else's mistake.

I forgot sugar in my pumpkin pie, no amount of whipped cream helped it. Had to toss it noone could eat it. Come Thanksgiving I get reminders not to forgot to add the sugar.

Some ingredients can be substituted and some can be left out.  But I really hate it when you can't use the finished product at all.

Irma, I must like muffin tops too because I'm wearing one right now!!  Sorry, couldn't resist.  I'm battling my weight and all I see when I look in the mirror is an unwanted muffin top!

So true...all the muffin tops I have consumed have given me a muffin top...maybe that also explains the muffin bottom as well.
Do muffins have hips or thighs?

This an easy mistake to do.  I always try to read the label twice.

I always try to read the labels twice.  It's so easy to grab the wrong thing.
