This isn't a memory tonight but it will be soon. Would you believe I was making pear jam this evening and decided that I wanted to make a nut bread with some of it. I came on the site to get some idea

This isn't a memory tonight but it will be soon. Would you believe I was making pear jam this evening and decided that I wanted to make a nut bread with some of it. I came on the site to get some ideas. Well I found some good advice but when I got up to prepare my tasty bread I was all out of flour. WHAT!!!! I will restock tomorrow.

Not having the right baking supplies has happened to me too. It's annoying when you're in the mood to bake and then have to wait to restock.

That is the worst thing when your mouth is practically watering for something and you are ready to make it only to realize you are out of one of the basics, I hate when then happens! Thanks for sharing, its happened to me to.

Isn't that how it always seems to happen? When you want to really make something, your out of a kley ingredient. How as the pear jam?Never had pear jam before but it sounds really good.

Not having all the ingredients on hand when you are ready to bake something is really annoying, especially if you are like me and live 15 miles to the nearest store.

I love making "quick" breads or nut breads....there is even one made from Jam....I like using the Gooseberry Jam. So warm and inviting, and the smells......ahhhhhhhh. Also they freeze well and so I usually make two [at least] to eat one, freeze one!

My Mom always told me to get my ingredients out first.  The one time I didn't - because I knew I had everything - I was missing a key item.  It is so annoying.
