My very good friend was turning 50 and her favorite cake is lemon.  I had the cake made and was getting ready to put it in the fridge to chill so the Jell-o would set and I could frost it.

My very good friend was turning 50 and her favorite cake is lemon.  I had the cake made and was getting ready to put it in the fridge to chill so the Jell-o would set and I could frost it.  Well, I hit the fridge door with the cake pan it flew up and dropped down all ove the kitchen floor.  Who know cake could fly 15 feet.  My living room had cake in it.  After laughing and explaing to my DH what I had done that scared the dickens out of him down stair, it hit the floor right above his head. LOL.  I cleaned up, washed up the cake making bowls and pans and set about making another one.  It is amazing what you can do with 0 Calorie lemonade single serve mix and one carton of french vanilla pudding.  The cake turned out great, she loved it and so did the other friends and family that had gathered.  We all had a good laugh at my goof.

Great story.  Probably not too funny at the time huh?  Sounds like my roast that rolled right off the platter on the way to the table lol.  I think we've all had some mishaps in the kitchen.   Good thing you had enough to make another cake.

How funny!  I'm glad you were able to fix it.  I know I would have been crying if that happened to me.

Wow!   Glad you had the time & ingredients to make another.  I would have had to go to a store - quickly.  Of course, I probably would have tried to cook it the day BEFORE!  I know how many things can happen (and do happen to me) at the last minute.  I can't "rush".
