She is scheduled to make a direct hit to our little town tomorrow morning. 80 - 100 mph sustained winds...YIKES!!!  If you hear names like New Bern, Craven Co., or the Pamlico Sound this would include us.  Praying for every one's safety!!

Amen to that. Fortunately for us we are in upstate NY and may at the worst lose our electricity if the wind is high. Our prayers and thoughts are with all our east coast friends and neighbors who will be experiencing worse. Let us pray that Irene tires and head out to sea.

Virginia is in the path too, but I am 100 miles from the coast.  I have been praying for the people closer to the ocean as well my area.  Mother Nature is a mighty force to deal with.

All the people in Irene's terrible parth are in my prayers.
Yesterday I wrote to three friends living in various places on the coast of southern NJ and they each wrote back saying they were being evacuated.  Each admitted to being scared.

We are supposed to get the 40 mph winds and rain this after noon here in Conway, SC. We are about 15 miles from Myrtle Beach.  Initially, MB was the predicted point of impact but that quickly changed to either Charleston or Wilmington, NC.  My prayers are with the entire eastern coastline.  Be safe one and all.

So far this year has seemed to be one of extremes.  Some too dry, some too wet, wildfires, earthquakes....

A call to prayer is in order no matter which denomination of Christianity, Judaism or Muslim, we should each do our best to be the best observant person we can.

Oh, and bake some goodies to share with neighbors.  Show some love to others.  Even if not directly affected, love helps everyone.

We are lucky here in south Georgia.  This hurricane has been one of the largest.
