EASTER I MADE CHOC. CHIP COOKIES. I COULD NOT GET THE COOKIES TO ROLL WITHOUT STICKING TO THE PIN. I DID USE THE CORRECT INGRIEGENTS, I MICROWAVED THE BUTTER I THINK THATS WHAT THE PROBLEM WAS. THEY DIDN'T TASTE BAD BUT THEY COULD HAVE TASTED BETTER. I DID SOMETHNG WRONG I DON'T KNOW WHAT. I'M GOING TO TRY THEM AGAIN FOR MY FAMILY REUNION IN JULY. HOPEFULLY I WILL HAVE A BRAGGER STORY.

Next time use the Nestle's Toll House Cookie recipe found on this site and use a spoon or ice cream scoop to drop them onto your cookie sheet and bake. You will get rave reviews from family and friends.

If you melted the butter instead of just softening it that would have made all the difference in why it stuck to the rolling pin. I made that mistake many years ago.....

HI CATHY. I ALWAYS DROP MINE. IS THIS A DIFFERENT COOKIE ? THE TOLLHOUSE OR MOST CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIE RECIPES ARE SOFT DOUGH, TOUGH TO ROLL.IF YOU NEED TO ROLL,PUT IN FRIDE CHILL, TAKE SMALL AMOUNT AT TIME TO ROLL,LIGHTLY FLOUR PIN. NOT TO MUCH IT WILL NOT BE RIGHT.KEEP TRYING.CHECK YOUR RECIPE OR TEST OUT NEW ONE BEFORE REUNION.....GOOD LUCK

i would make the regular toll house cookie recipe on the package. they turn out all the time. melting the butter could have cause it. i usually let mine soften at room temperture. keep trying

Dropping is the key to success. The cookies will flatten while baking. Good luck and keep baking!
