Chocolate Chip Cookies

My 16 yr old son made chocolate chip cookies.  They turned out puffy looking.  He took a bite of one and it was hallow.  I ask him if he forgot to put anything in the cookie dough.  He looked at the recipe, thought for a  moment.  He said, "I believe A may have added an extra cup of sugar."  I was proud that he figured this out.  One thing I do know is that my 2 sons are not afraid of cooking.

I find out if I keep my ingriendents out to room temperature they stay consistent in size.

That's funny, Peg! Neat that he likes to cook though. We all make bloopers....even us "seasoned" bakers! Baking is sometimes a trial and error project, but it's lots of fun!!

I made the family their chocolate chip cookies and my mom get the ones with out sugar.

Maryann - A dear friend of mine can't have sugar and I have a terrible time looking for sugar-free cookie recipes.  I would very much appreciate any you would post.  Please and thanks
