I melted marshmallows, and then mixed it into the pudding. Sounded yummy to me.  After it set, it was like rubber.  The spoon bounced off. It would not even flush down the toilet, it floated.
Since then, I am happy to say I know how to cook and bake. LOL

We have all had our fiascos - that's one of the way we learn.  Thank goodness!!  Mary Ann S.

My first attempt at baked chicken with stuffing was a blooper. Did not know about pulling out the bag and did not have much room for the stuffing. Was 10 at the time and have learned what to do since.

I also like to experiment--but I always do it when we have a family gathring. My brother is always afraid when I volunter to make dessert! A few years ago, his comment was "okay if you bring dessert, but don't bring anything weird!"

Years ago when the first artificial sweetener came out, I tried to make brownies from scratch.  Well they turned out like foam rubber.. not even the dog would eat them.. she buried them instead!!! My cousin was over at the time and reminded me for years that after he took a bite, all he'd have to do for a year is just drink water and he'd be full... we laughed about that every time I saw him.. now he's gone and I cherish the memories of my foam rubber brownies..

I made pumpkin pie one year and forgot the sugar, my my not even tons of whipped cream helped that poor pie. I can just picture the pudding and brownies lol. Gives us good laughs down the road.

Some time ago, some where in this forum, I wrote about baking an apricot coffee cake for my sister.
That message never appeared.
No sugar ever appeared in the coffee cake.

We have a standing joke in my family about how my sister can't even make jello.  She tried it one time and it never set.  It was just liquid.  We have no idea what she did to it, but it was pretty funny and she still hears about it today.

With all the things that can go wrong, it is a wonder that there are not more stories like this.
Perhaps people just don't want to admit it?  :)
