Great idea. I label and date everything too. I always cook in bulk. Keep some and give some to others, including my sister in law who is paraplegic and her tenant who is elderly. I recently had knee replacement surgery and filled the freezer with food to be cooked and food that was already cooked. One of my sons is a high school teacher. He took care of my husband who has MS while I was in the hospital and rehab. Made it easier for them and now that I am home it is easy for me. I need to get the other knee done, too!

My son started back to school on Monday. He lives about an hour away. Other son lives four hours away. He gets here periodically and shops and cooks and puts food in the freezer for us, too.

Have a great school year.(All of you who are teachers and to your children!)

I used to do that when I worked. I still cook in bulk. My husband loves leftovers. My daughter in law makes up caseroles and freezes them.

Cooking ahead and freezing is a great time saver and a smart way to plan out meals.

Have you ever tried a swap with other teachers.  It seems to be loads of fun when you can sample someone else's cooking.
