Since i am known for new desserts everytime we gather friends for a cook out, I decided I would actually make an angel food cake rather than buying one. I followed the recipe carefully and used a Bundt pan rather than an angel food cake pan since the recipe said that was acceptable. When I went to get the cake out of the pan, it was stuck - really, really stuck. I ended up having to get the cake out of the pan one chunk at a time, with little time until my guests arrived.
I quickly dug my trifle bowl out of the china cabinet and found a can of crushed pineapple, a container of whipped topping, and a box of instant vanilly pudding. I made the pudding and layered chunks of cake, pudding, whipped topping, and drained crushed pineapple. It was delicious, and everyone thought I planned on an angel food trifle. Little did they know..

Great save Lucille.  I'll have to remember that the next time my cake falls apart at the last minute.  Thanks for sharing.

I really appreciate hints that save the day, or the dessert,  since you never know when you might need it.
