My mom always made chocolate chip cookies and my fondest memory is of her and I baking together. She had this really old cookie jar, in the shape of a big brown bunny. She always kept the cookies in this jar. When my brother and I grew up she gave the jar to my brother and I was always so jealous. Now I know that she was trying to be fair to us both. Back when we were small boys weren't supposed to bake with their mothers, only girls. My brother had always wanted to. This was her way of making us both feel special.

We had a cookie jar too. It was of a Dutch lady. I wonder what happened to it. None of us got it so I guess my Mom gave it to someoneelse thinking that we didn't want it since it was so old. It probably be a collector's item. How foolish we are when we are young, wanting everything new!
