I barely remember my great grandmother but, she too had a woodstove. My great aunt Dean from Neosho, MO passed down my great grandmothers style and some recipes on to me.

I myself remember sitting on the cabinet watching and helping my grandmother . i was real little she taught me to have patience when i cook . after she was gone my mom would show me how to bake and do things in the kitchen . Everyone says she cooks like her mother . I only dream that one day they will say the same about me oneday. I started teaching my son to cook when he was about nine or ten but he would sit on the cabinet while i cooked when he was real little, iwanted to hold our family tradition even with him.

I cook with my grandchildren which was passed down from my mother from her mother and so on . I can re call the wood stove and cooking on it from a young age of 7 . I learned thur cooking values love and sharing a item our young needs passed to them more than ever with these trying times. I am sure if each person would show a child how to cook or a craft we would have no bad children its called showing you care our children need this more today than ever.So I do th best I can keep sharing.

I think that to share any of your passionate traditions with the youngsters is the best thing you can do for them. It gives them a sense

I am teaching my nieces how to cook my 92 year-old mother's recipes, as she can no longer do it herself. They love coming to my house without their parents. They are 13, 18 and 21, and I give them steps to do based on the level of difficulty, to keep them from getting bored.

Its so nice to see the ways of the past still alive today. I have done many of the same things as you did with my mother that I would like to pass on to my daughter as well.
