I remember growing up my mom would make close to 30 different kinds of cookies if not more. To a little kid (about 45 years ago)that was better than going to a candy store and buying a chocolate bar.

I remember growing up my mom would make close to 30 different kinds of cookies if not more. To a little kid (about 45 years ago)that was better than going to a candy store and buying a chocolate bar. It was homemade and delicious. That's what it made it so special. To this day, she's still baking and still tastes just as great as it was then. The best one out of the whole group is Chocolate Chip Cookies using Nestles Chocolate chips with Raisins and Coconut. As I grew up, I found myself making some of the cookies. It made me think back about those days when I'd watch her make bake all those cookies. We reminisce every once in awhile about those days.

My Mom would bake so many different cookies for Christmas and always let my brother and myself help decorate. She is 86 now and enjoys watching me make the cookies and smiles when my brother and I decorate them. It's a great memory for all of us and we're blessed to still have her with us to enjoy the love of baking she instilled in us.
