We are really enjoy doing this together and having so much fun!. So far we've made: blueberry,raspberry,strawberry,strawberry-ruhbarb,blackberry,grape,and zucchini jelly. In the next coming few weeks we are going to make, apple and 2 kinds of crab-apple jelly, tomato preserves, red and green. This is the first time we've done this together and we're really enjoying it.

It just goes to show you that it is never too late to enjoy precious moments in the kitchen with Mom. Plus this winter you'll be extra happy as you eat them

You are so blessed to have your momma still with you and that you are both able to still cook and can together. I miss my momma and remember all the wonderful times we shared together in the kitchen also. Thanks for sharing and enjoy your canning. Have you ever heard of making "Honey Dew" jelly? It is made out of corn cobs and it taste like a mild honey, It is very good, a real clear color almost the color of apple jelly. Thanks and have a good day, Donna G.

You are lucky to have your mom around to be able to share these wonderful moments with. They are such treasures to have for years to come. Do you and your mom bake cookies and/or candies for the holiday? Thanks for sharing you memory.

That's a lot of jelly! How fun that you can share your love of making preserves! I bet you have been working in the kitchen making Christmas cookies, pies and a few other things over the years. What wonderful memories to treasure. Isn't it amazing how many memories center around the kitchen? Thanks for sharing your story! I hope you have people to share your jelly with too!

Treasure this time with your Mother, keep these memories in your heart, and make these same memories with your own children. I wish I could be doing the same with my Mother, she pasted last year. I miss her everyday, but, more during the holidays when we made delicious baked items and candies.

Make sure you get all the recipes and advice you can from your mom while you can. Don't depend on your memory to recall it all -- write it down. My mom passed away 2 years ago and so many times I have wanted to call her up and ask her how to make something or ask for a certain recipe. Nobody knows how it feels to lose your mother until you've been there. Enjoy all these special moments because they will become precious memories to you.
