This year we delayed our Thanksgiving to Friday because we wanted to surprise my brother with a 50th birthday party. He lives in Virginia and was visiting for Thanksgiving but the real 50th birthday is in January. We wanted to make it special, so we held off our Thanksgiving until Friday so more family and friends could be there to celebrate. It was a great success and he said he was overwhelmed with the whole thing. It was a lot of work and lots of hours on our feet but was well worth the time spent. We also surprised my mother because November 29 was her 84th birthday. I feel blessed and thankful to everyone who came to make it special.
