Ever have on of those days when it just did not go right? What can I say that dough just would not rise. I was trying to make yeast rolls for the first time and they would not rise. Next thing I know

Ever have on of those days when it just did not go right? What can I say that dough just would not rise. I was trying to make yeast rolls for the first time and they would not rise. Next thing I know the dough is on the ceiling and my husband is laughing along with me. One memory that will be around forever. No, have not master the yeast yet !!! LOL

Oh No!  I never had my dough fly to the ceiling.  But I have had it be pretty flat.  I guess I was luckier than I thought.

I used to make lots of homemade pizzas for my sons and their swimming buddies. They were competitive swimmers and after a 2-hour workout, it took lots of carbs to satisfy their hunger. So I would make pizzas for them. They convinced me one time to try tossing the dough in the air, like the "real" pizza makers do.....Do you know how hard it is to clean up pizza dough from a tile floor???? Worse than cracked eggs!!!!

Wonder how this surfaced....post from November 2008 and she never posted again.....I wonder how these get brought up again.
I am the first to believe in recycling but I wish there was a way to lock old dead posts.
Seems to me if someone wants to revive  or add a new post can be done.
I might be a bit out of line.....

I wonder if somebody goes into an old post and makes a comment if it doesn't bring it forward again.  Or maybe there's a glitch in the program that brings up old threads lol.  It is kind of funny that most of the old posts are from 2008 and most of those people have never been back.

Reading this post made me think about my 'flying dough" episode.  I was visiting my grandmother one day for dinner.  Then we heard this big BANG.  We ran into the kitchen and doubled over with laughter.  Turns out, grandma had left  a can of biscuits on the kitchen table and the sun coming through the window, made the can explode!!  There were biscuits hanging from the ceiling, on the cupboards, the floor....I'll never forget it!!!
