Last weekend when we were at Lake Tahoe, we saw a woman driving a car with a Black Lab sitting on her lap.  Well of course that is not safe, but we started speculating that maybe she was teaching the lab to drive.  Considering that, ( we were getting silly) we started to think that at least the dog would not text, or talk on the phone.  However, if he saw a squirrel, he'd probably swerve and cause an accident.

Ann that's cute ! Awhile ago Juliet kept jumping up and down, barking and running out to the kitchen.I got up and went to the kitchen to find their water bowl empty.I wash the bowl every morning and refill it a few times a day. They are drinking it a little faster today. She's a smart little girl that's for sure.I rinsed it out and refilled it and now she is sleeping with Romeo on the couch.

But Peaches naps on the floor behind the curtain so all that sun and heat pours down on her.
I don't understand it at all

Nancy, cats love to be extra warm.Ditto would lay on the hood of the car or on the driveway right in the sun.I miss that little bum.he was always there to greet us when we came home he would jump on the hood and just wait for us to go into the house and he would follow.Get a little something to eat and drink then he was back out again. He loved to be outside except when it was cold, then he stayed indoors.

While ago a little fly appeared in the living room - Peaches and Badcat went out of their minds trying to catch it.
Then Badcat flew about 4' off the floor and pulled it out of the air.
He caught it!!

My little sweet Juliet scared me this morning. When I get up I clean up their pads. They are both "paper trained" easier for me given my problems.I wash their water bowl and give them fresh water and make sure they have food in their food hopper.I turn around and headed for the living room and Juliet was standing there hunched over and holding up her paw.I was terrified that she broke her leg.I picked her up and her leg was through her collar up to what I call her elbow for lack of a better word.I slipped her collar off and released her leg.She was still scared but I was relieved.I fried up some chicken livers for them and I gave her one and she forgot all about the collar.I hate collars,my little Rocky once got his lower jaw stuck in his collar and I don't know how long he was like this because I was working. No more collars their tags are on their harnesses which they wear when they are out. They are both also micro chipped.

ooooohhhhh Gale - what a scary experience.  How great that Juliet made it through OK.
A few days ago I was working hard at my work table in the basement and, of course, the cats were with me.  All was quiet.
They I heard terrible muffled sounds coming from the bathroom.  I ran.  Poor Badcat had shoved his head into a big plastic cup and it stuck,  Poor kitty.

I keep baking in my very small kitchen.  Badcat wants my attention so that giant cat s-t-r-e-t-c-h-e-s out takes most of the floor.  Every step I take has to be over him.  I try to carry him somewhere but nothing suits him -- he wants the kitchen floor.

My cat "Scout" moved.  She had always been a mean cat but when my friends daughter moved in they got along very well.  When she moved out 3 weeks ago she took the cat.  Everyone is much happier now.
My "scared cat" Mittens is showing up much more often and not spending her day sleeping by my pillow or under my covers.
A big surprise, the "feral" cat that I got a while ago turns out to be pretty special.   I have had 3 people tell me recently that he is a Russian Blue I looked up the breed on line and that is what he seems to be.  He is not a pure breed but there must be a Russian Blue in his family.  I have called him "my dog in cat clothes" because he is so playful and that is one of the traits.

Cats - what joy.
I'm happy to hear Mittens is adapting so well.   What is the blue cat's name?
Little gray Grace that I got in May, 1971 always slept under the covers, between my legs.  Oh, how I loved Grace -- and she presented me with Thunder Thud and White Cat.

LOL LOL ..... my whole life I've wanted a yellow cat and something else always moves in.

The kitten's name is Cinder.  I have had him for a while now.  He has adjusted quite well to the dogs and to Mittens.  As a matter of fact Mittens "allows" Cinder to sleep on the bed with her.  They will not groom each other though. My doxie, Vienna will lick both cats and they will allow it but when they have had enough they are quite capable of letting her know that it is time to stop.
I will try to post a photo soon.  Having problems getting them to load correctly.
