Nellie, So sorry about your cat. Your dog sure is cute. Hope you are doing ok now.
It take a long time to get over losing any of your pets because they are your family.

this is my jenny   I know I haven't talked about her here before        because when this conversation started I had lost my cat that I had raised from a 5oz  abandoned bundle that I knew was several weeks old, in an especially horrible way  that is hard to talk about still jenny is a mini-doxie     long-haired piebald     recently groomed    and 7 yrs old    I've had her since 5 1/2 wks old

 Nellie! Does this doggie sit in your lap??  Laughing It reminds me of the mental picture that Gale gave me when she said she sleeps in a chair with her two dogs on her! She's big and the perfect size for hugging! Give her some huggs from me. I'm glad you have her and she made me smile!

Oh Nellie, your little Jenny looks like a sweetheart-so pretty with her new hairdoSmile. Losing our little friends is so painful. I teared up just writing about Abbey in my previous post. I guess it's because we will always love and miss them. I'm glad you posted a picture of your Jenny.

 "beasty girl" CALI  is becoming more family as time goes by; even though the" CAT BEHAVIOR SPECIALIST  we took her tosaid she would never be a LAP CAT! and would  only  become more aggressive after the age of 2 yrs;  SHE now NEARLY 4yo O SITS ON PAWPAW'S LAP; WRAPS around my  FEET or HEAD ON COLD NIGHTS    and sits on my  hip or shoulder on colooler nights ts .She spends days on a chair in the hall, allowing us to stop 7  pet  her/ make nice w/ any signs of fear or defensive aggressisiveness.Maestro is still  my sweet  lovey boy & 7and they get along as if they always have been friends. That "expert" vet sure had her wrong, the poor  thing was  from probably infear from poor treatment  in the past; I'm so glad we  ignored his advice allowed her the  chance to love& trust  and  be content in her life w/ us.
Our lives are very much enriched  by her becoming a happy &   gentle family member. She loves to  keep the squirrels  &   other vermin away from the patio door by twitching  her ears& tail when they come too close.the old loveseat cushion is in front of the sliders; giving both kitties ample room to spread out daily in the sunshine.SmileCali had an absessed tooth& jaw that caused pain whenever we tried to pet her; a different7 better vet  discovered the painflspot and surgery/ antibioyics healed it and once agai allowed touching w/o pai, she seemsto actually  desire neck rubbing at  2 AM and purrs contentedly asI rub oth sides ofher head neck vigorously  each night after she wakes me up by curling up on my head or on my  shoulder  & purring loudly  till I wake up  to  spend time w/ her.

 Our 2 babies:Maestro&cali started my day  out purrfectly: @ 5:22 AM Cali wrapped herself around my head, making it impossibleto sleepin that  loud purring environment,,, Maestro  sat/curled up on my  shoulder to let me know he LOVES meSmileI  have no lap available  for such niceties once  my  day gets started.FrowneVEN WHEN IN MY EASY CHAIR  I have  A BOOK IN MY LAP so  my smart baby boy treated me to his company while I could accept it
