I voted for
Baking/ cooking for someone else
That's what I do now and I'm finding it very safe, very fullfilling, even happy.

I just love to be with my family and do nice things for them. The material things are not as important as family time spent together.

I don't need a huge display, but a dinner out & a card are nice.

I would love to get a nice card especially if it had something written in it instead of just preprinted.

I would love to get Valentines for my grandsons.  They live about 240 miles away and we don't see them as much as we would like.  When they lived  closer, I would make them a special chocolate heart shaped cake topped with vanilla icing.  I them put cherry pie filling in the middle.  It made a very pretty cake.  The grandsons are now 11 and 9.

Thank you Susan.  I have a ruffled heart shaped cake pan ... very large.  It works great with a cake mix although I usually bake from scratch.  When I use the devil food cake mix I add one box of instant chocolate pudding.  It makes for a very moist cake.  ... Judy

Hi Judy --- I'm seconding (and thirding Wink ) the welcome you've gotten here.
A chocolate cake with cherry filling sure sounds good.  Could I ask for details, please?

John:  I'm sorry for your loss.  I would feel the same way; but as Gale said, she wouldn't want you to be unhappy.  You will be in my prayers.  I hope that will help.
