OH YES-----THE FAMOUS GOOEY IS STILL ALIVE AND WELL

after much disappointment in the past, i actually got brave enough this morning to post a recipe again

guess what after all the typing and editing i got the gooey message

so i called nestle's number and talked to someone, i told him that i had not been able to post a recipe since they changed the site, who appologized and said , that i should not take it personally, and , as usual, that they were working on it
i explained to him that i thought it would be a kindness to let people know before they actually fill it all in

he said he would pass that on

Nellie, 99.9% of the time I get the gooey also. I have pretty much given up on entering recipes. It's been what, 2 years since the new site launched? Plenty of time to fix it, in my opinion!!!

This is a huge problem I don't think they VBB care enough about this site and this is their business! This is exactly why people don't participate and offer ideas and recipes.It's a shame because we do have a nice group of people but they are slowly drifting away.

i also told him how much trouble i have with my hands and how it's hard to believe anyone can actually post recipes, but we know nikki posted one recently and how hard it is to actually find them in the recipes, since it's all mixed together
so he took my address and pronised to send me some coupons in 5-10 days

I get the "gooey" message on average 2-3 times a week! Very frustrating, but I love the recipes/people on here, so I keep plugging along!

At least you got to talk to a "live" person Nellie! Most of the companies I call these days have an automated system with no option for a real person. A lot of times I just keep pressing "0" until they finally turn it over to someone to answer lol. Doesn't always work though.

I haven't tried to post a recipe anywhere except in the forums so it's good to know that the other way doesn't always work.

GRANA here; I try to remain optiistic that the site will eventually get the gooeyness& bugs out......It used to be so much FUN to read posted member recipes & learn what cooking tyles/methods 7 flavors are poular aroundthecountry...
Hubby printde out & framed 3 of my own VBB recipes on the kitchen wall where visitors are impressed that I have recipes published on the internet; often copying them onto 3"x5" cards to take home& tryout for themselves.
I also have framed paintings done by friends;on my kitchen wall, making them feel special when they visit too!

I did not get "gooey" but I got "adjusting our recipe" or some such. Then I got web page expired. When I refreshed I submitted the recipe again and "POOF" it was added. My Sticky Ginger Squares are now in my recipe box.

I tried to get in several times this week and got the gooey again. One day, I actually got in and posted a few things. Have not attempted to try a recipe yet. Sure wish they would fix it.

I'm still getting "gooey" on my computer at home. Can't even log in. I can get on at work, but when I'm at home and want to get a recipe out of my recipe box I can't do it. This has happened many times and after a few weeks, all of a sudden all is well.
