My son came home with a project. The question was who would you like to meet ? Living or dead.I told him I had a project for school .It was what 3 people would you want to have dinner together? I changed my answer today.

So who weould you like to meet?

What three people would you like to have dinner with?

And why??

Hmmmm.....Julie.....interesting questions! I had to think a minute.....but you know.....I think my answer to "who would you like to meet?" right at the moment would be YOU.....JULIE!!! Why? Because you are so sweet, always considerate and thinking and putting others before yourself. There's not a whole lot of folks like that in today's world, sadly. So....yep.....I'd like to meet you!!
As for having dinner with three people.....I'm not sure on that one. Have to do some thinking first!

Thank you Carol..That is very sweet. I was thinking you, Nancy and Preston..Since Preston can not bake, The 3 ladies can do it , he can cleanup.
when I picked my three it was Mother Teresa, Jesus and God.I would not know what to serve.Now I would pick my dad,Jesus and God. I know my dad is in heaven.

My son picked Ted Williams.He loves sports and the REd Sox. He is still thinking about the 3 to dinner.He said it is hard, he does not want to hurt anyones feelings.He is a sweetie.

You made my day Carol. You my friend are a wonderful person..Your a doll.

I would have to say my paternal grandparents,which I never knew to learn more of my heritage.My moms parents were not so great,my mom was the best.Mark twain,I have always enjoyed his work since I was a child.I hope that my mom,dad and sister meet me when I'm called home.This is really difficut because I would love to meet so many people and there isn't enough space to write in all of them.I would love to meet you Julie you seem like such a lovely person and I know that we would get along.You would fit in with all my friends,I live on a street with the Steel Magnolias.We are always there for one another when we need something.I am blessed with great family and friends.

You're very welcome, Julie! And thank you for your kind words, too! What a great idea you had there....I'm all for that if Nancy and Preston agree! What's on the menu? And yes, I had also thought of Jesus and God because I know one day I will definitely be meeting them when I go to heaven. I also thought of my grandparents who are all gone now. Especially my mom's mother who died of cancer six years before I was born, so I never knew her. I know she is in heaven so one day I will also see her.

That is really tough.Do I have to pick only three? I would gladly do the dishes for the dinner Julie. You, Carol and Nancy are three of my favorite people on the site. There are so many reasons.
I agree with your son about Ted williams..Wow, Yes , Jesus is on the top.I'am sure you will all go to heaven.I'am not wishing for that anytime soon ladies.
Real tough question. I should give that as a project for my class.I would want to know why they picked these people.Still thinking on that one Julie. Tough one

I agree, Preston...Julie picked a tough question there, didn't she? But it is something to think about, something I'd never thought about before. And thank you....you are also one of my favorites on this site. There are so many great folks on here that I enjoy chatting and interacting with. It's neat....and to be able to share lots of things.....not just recipes and baking tips. I wasn't able to have time to get on here yesterday and I truly missed everyone!

This is both a difficult question and an easy one to answer. I shouldsay the 3 people I would want to meet would be Jesus, Martin Luther King, Abraham Lincoln.
However I was about 9 when my Mom died and about 14 when my Dad died so I never knew them as an adult so I would love to meet them. Since I can have 3 people I would invite my sister since she most likely want to see them again. I would like to think they would be proud of me and what I have accomplished but to sit and talk with them would be wonderful. If inviting my sister does not count then I would include my Grandma since she helped care for us after my Mom died then my Dad cared for her before she died. Never met any relatives on my Dads side so that would be interesting but now the party is getting pretty big.

Oh Nikki,Thats so hard to grow up without your parents,I'm sure they would be proud of you.I was 16 when my dear Daddy died but I was blessed and had my mom until I was 39,even then it was so hard to say goodbye.Someday we'll all be together again.

There is a song that is currently playing on a local Country Station. The song is "I Hear Voices" and the singer goes through all the voices that he hears that give him advice. His Mom, Dad, Grandparents....
Well I hear voices also. I like to think that when I need help if I listen I will hear their advice from my heart.
Ok....maybe that's a bit much but I do think they are with me.

I would love to meet God, Jesus and Mary! I can't wait to see my Mom, Dad and Brother to have dinner with them in heaven.

Did anyone ever read Life on the Other Side by Sylvia Brown or any of her other books? What are your thoughts?

I don't get on every night like I wish, but I do get on several times a week. I have to agree, it is a pleasure chatting with you gals! You know, I met a VBB member from the old VBB site and we became very good friends...she is like a sister to me. I would like to thank Nestles for giving us this wonderful site for us to meet new friends to share recipes and ideas. Like Paula Dean says when she ends her show, Sending love from my kitchen to yours!

Tough question, I know one day I will be meeting God and Jesus. Sooo who would I want to meet now? Well all of you would be nice and a big table for a big sit down home cooked dinner with each one of you. Know that is more than 3 but would not want to leave someone out. Would like to meet Teddy Roosevelt my fav grand dad fought with him. My half brother Alan, we were getting to know each other before he had a heart attack in 1999 and died. But I am happy I have both Frank and Jason back in my life and I thank God for that our Father is amazing and now after all those years we are talking and moving forward. I do have one and the Lord knows that wish and I will keep praying on it. Hugs to you all.

I would like to meet Joyce Meyer. She is such an inspiration. I would like to have dinner withJesus Christ, Joyce Meyer and Carl Baugh, who is an archeologist, author, and bible scholar.
